Miller to take hold of South Africa in remaining T20Is against Pakistan

The left-handed batsman David Miller will lead South Africa in last two T20Is against Pakistan as their regular captain Faf Du Plessis has been given rest by the team management.

The Cricket South Africa (CSA) through their official Twitter account announced Miller as the stand-in captain for upcoming T20I clashes against Pakistan.

Du Plessis himself announced to take a rest from upcoming matches during a match conference saying that “I’m being rested for the last two games. I’m the only Test player that’s still playing.”

On the other hand, the host’s wicket-keeper batsman Quinton De Kock will also not available for the Proteas for next two matches following an injury. The uncapped Janneman Malan has replaced de Kock in their squad.

South Africa are 1-0 up in the series after their convincing six runs win over the visitors. Both teams will lock horns in the second ODI on February 3 at Johanseburg.
