The head coach of Pakistan Mickey Arthur has hailed services of Misbah Ul Haq for the sport in the country and told that he deserves a fitting sent off.
He revealed in an interview with Dawn News that he had a detailed discussion with the 42-year old fellow about his future earlier and will talk to him again in a couple of days.
“I really can’t say what he has planned but I will be talking to him again then [we] will see what he has planned,” he said.
As per the speculations, Misbah Ul Haq will tour with Pakistan to West Indies in the capacity of captain and then might call it a day for his international career. However, he is likely to undergo a physical fitness test ahead of their visit to Caribbean.
Arthur said that Misbah has done a lot for the game and he deserves every bit of praise and respect.
“Misbah has given a lot to the team and he is a legend for Pakistan’s cricket. He is a great leader and deserves all the appreciation and all the respect and a good sign off which he deserves either now or whenever he decides to go,” he added.
