Pakistans’ head coach-cum-chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq said that necessary criticism on team management for deserving players is somewhere acceptable.
Misbah, while talking to the media in Karachi, said that team management suffers through immense pressure while selecting a team because they can only go with a squad of 15 or 16 members.
“See, team management knows better about team selection. We see things closer than anybody else. However, necessary criticism for deserving players is acceptable and we try to fit performers when needed,” the head coach said.

Misbah is so far satisfied with whatever decision he and his team management has taken and wants some time to get the things on the right track. “There is no pressure on me anyway. I think we are in a rebuilding process and need some time to tie-up once again,” Misbah said.
Misbah, on the other hand, addressed the issue related to players’ lack of interest in Test cricket and asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to frame a policy to avoid such happenings.
“Obviously, there must be some sort of policy which makes sure that players prefer Pakistan over other things. If the cricket board invest in any player so he should be there to play for the country first,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, Misbah praised young bowlers Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi fr bowling consistently with a strong line and length. “They both are accurate and focused and have a long career ahead. They have the potential to be match-winners in the near future,” he highlighted.
