The former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has been reinstated as Rajasthan Cricket Association President after the motion of no confidence against him was withdrawn by the anti group led by Amir Pathan.
The former BCCI president Sharad Pawar has also backed Lalit Modi because he believes that it was Modi who deserves all the credit for the success of the Indian Premier League (Quotes via NDTV)
“The credit for IPL’s success should go to Lalit Modi. He shouldn’t be harassed by BCCI officials who are not at helm today. I am worried that people can victimise Modi. During his tenure, he has made some enemies.”
The Justice Mishra said that after the Amir Pathan group withdrew their motion of no confidence, he did not have to make any sort of decision because the case was itself decided.
“I did not have to give a decision, they (Amin Pathan group) took back the no-confidence motion. Better sense prevailed…if you cannot win, it’s better to compromise,” said Justice Mishra
