Moeen Ali hails Adil Rashid as ‘best in the world’ in white-ball cricket

Southampton: Stand-in England captain Moeen Ali has hailed leg-spinner, Adil Rashid, as the “best in the world” after his three-wicket haul against Australia in the final T20I of the series.

Rashid claimed 3-21 as he dismissed Glenn Maxwell (6) and Aaron Finch (39) in the same over. Finch bowled by a superb googly and then Steve Smith (3) as Australia wobbled before completing a five-wicket victory.

“You always wish he had another over or so. I think he is quite hard to pick and play, he is got so much skill,” Moeen said.

“He is a great bowler. He is got great numbers over a long period of time for England and he is one of the best spinners in the world in white-ball cricket,” he added.

It must be noted that Australia beat England in the final T20I by five wickets, however, the hosts won the series 2-1.
