Mohammad Hafeez dispatched Adil Rashid for a four off the back foot as he went past 3000 runs in test matches for Pakistan and became the 17th player for Pakistan to cross that mark in tests. Hafeez has most hundreds (8) for Pakistan in the current lot of players behind Younis khan (30) and Azhar Ali (9).
Hafeez has an average of close to 40 in tests matches and made his debut against Bangladesh in the year 2003. This test match verus England is his 45th test match of his career. He along with Shoaib Malik has provided a stedy start to the Pakistan innings after having lost Shan Masood cheaply in the morning of day 1 of the first test match between the two sides.
Hafeez will look to capitalize on the start he has got and get a big one for Pakistan which eventually will help Pakistan get a good total. If Hafeez gets a century for Pakistan in the first innings, it will be his 9th one in test matches for Pakistan.
