Mohammad Zahid confident to deliver for Pakistan’s cricket


Lahore: Former pacer Mohammad Zahid is looking forward to making the most of first-ever opportunity to work in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s set-up. 

Zahid, who was appointed bowling coach at National High-Performance Centre (NHPC), expressed determination to give his hundred percent. “I am highly looking forward to working with the PCB for the very first time in a coaching role,” said Zahid.

“I haven’t offered to work in PCB earlier. As I have now got the opportunity to serve Pakistan’s cricket once again, I will try my best to deliver strongly,” he added.

For Zahid, it is a responsibility to groom youngsters and current pacers after being on the top post in NHPC. “PCB has shown belief in me, now it’s my responsibility to pay back to them by guiding and nurturing young talent,” he said.

It must be noted here that former cricketers Mohammad Yousaf, Atiq-uz-Zaman and Mohammad Zahid had been appointed as batting, bowling and fielding/wicketkeeping, respectively.
