Pakistan’s former opening batsman and now a cricket analyst Mohsin Hasan Khan has heavily criticized the PCB for their in efficacious management within the PCB.
While talking in an interview Mohsin stated that if proper investigation was carried to bring up the root causes behind the current state of Pakistan cricket we would witness something similar to Panama leaks. He added that Pakistan cricket is in a deplorable state and nothing is being done to restore Pakistan’s pride in this game. He was disappointed to see that in the upcoming Pakistan Cup the new talent is not given the chance to lead sides and the same old faces are going to captain their respective sides again which is not good for the grooming of local talent.
As far as coaching the national team Mohsin said that the PCB has not yet approached him regarding the role. It may be noted that Mohsin did coach Pakistan side back in 2011-12 when Pakistan white washed England in UAE but he was later replaced by Dav Whatmore.
He stressed on the fact the PCB should opt for a national coach rather than going for a foreigner because he considers it as a better option for Pakistan cricket.
