Pakistan’s former wicket-keeper batsman, Moin Khan believes that Sarfraz Ahmed will lead the Green Shirts against India in an energetic fashion as he did during Last Year’s Champions Trophy final.
While talking to ARY News during a local event in Karachi, Moin Khan said that Pakistan need to play positive cricket against the arch-rivals when they will meet in an Asia Cup 2018 contest on September 19 at Dubai International Stadium.
“Sarfraz and his men should field themselves according to the situation and with positive approach then you will see the results would definitely go in their favour,” Khan said.
He backed the youngsters in the team coining them as the key for Pakistan to dominate the cricketing world.
“Our young players are doing really well and I personally feel that the future of Pakistan’s cricket is in safe hands,” he said.
Moin, who was the captain of Pakistan’s Asia Cup winning squad back in 2000, told that Asia Cup has always provided an opportunity to the Asian countries to showcase their strength to the World.
“Asia Cup is a fruitful opportunity for the Asian countries to come and compete against each other on a higher platform,” he added.
The head coach of Quetta Gladiators hopes that his team will do better in the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League.
“Unluckily we are the runners-up twice, but hopefully in the forthcoming season of the PSL we would not disappoint our fans,” he stated.
