LAHORE: Former Pakistan cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz feels that chief selector Moin Khan should be punished for his controversial visit to a casino in Christchurch when the team was struggling to deliver in the ongoing World Cup.
“Only an apology must not be accepted from Moin and a disciplinary action should be taken against him by the board,” Sarfraz told ARY news channel.
“How an official of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) visit a casino when the team has been struggling to perform?” questioned Sarfraz.
Sarfraz added that if Moin gets away with only an apology, then such incidents would take place in future as well.
“It shows how much committed our team and its officials are. They are picnicking when our team is yet to pull a victory.”
Pakistan has lost both of its first two matches against India and West Indies, comprehensively by 76 and 150 runs respectively.
