WBC Silver Flyweight Champion, Muhammad Waseem is scheduled to take on Ivan Trejos in a fight on this Saturday in Panama.
It is another practice match for the top ranked WBC boxer for his big title bout, which is expected to take place sometime later this year.
The native boxer, Trejos has a good reputation in his weight category and he has previously defeated some of the top boxers, so it will be a good match for Muhammad Waseem ahead of his title crucial fight.
It will be his second warm-up match in a span of a month. Earlier this month, Waseem defeated Eliecer Valdez, another Panama boxer, by knocking him out in the second round of the bout.
Waseem’s promoter, Andy Kim is glad that Pakistan government supported the boxer financially so that he could train in Panama and have a couple of practice matches there.
Kim is positive that the first pro boxer of Pakistan will get further help from his government so that they can host the title fight.
“I am hopeful that the Pakistan government will once again financially support Waseem so that I can host the historic world title fight so that Waseem does not have to challenge as the visitor.” Said Kim
