Murad Ali Shah approves Rs 210m for beautification of Karachi ahead of PSL final

Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah has approved a hefty budget of Rs 210 million for the security and beautification of Karachi from March 23rd to March 25th ahead of the final of Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) third season.

“Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed KMC, Karachi administration to make the city neat and clean and beautify it with illumination and greenery,” said the press release.

Murad Ali Shah wants the city a fabulous look to the visitors arriving for the big cricketing event.

“It should give an amazing and fabulous look,” Murad Ali Shah said.

The approved budget will have chunks for transport arrangements for the spectators, restoration of parking areas, security arrangements and for other purposes.

“He has approved Rs210 million grant-in-aid which includes Rs75 million for transport arrangements, rehabilitation and restoration of parking areas and security arrangements. These funds would be utilized by DIG South, Commissioner Karachi. The remaining amount of Rs135 million would be utilized for civic works, hiring of generators, horticulture, illumination and beautification of routes and parking areas. These funds would be utilized by KMC with the approval of Mayor Karachi,” the official release further read.
