The young middle-order batsman Usman Salahuddin is optimistic to score a century against Australia in the upcoming Test series in UAE.
While talking to the media in Dubai, Usman said, “as a batsman, my personal goal is to score a century against Australia if I get a chance to perform,”
Usman who is currently playing in Pakistan A team also told that playing conditions in UAE is much more beneficial for the spinners as compared to the fast bowlers.
The 27-year-old praises Australian batsman Mitchell Marsh’s performance in a warm-up match against Pakistan A team. Marsh struck a punishing hundred on Monday with 17 boundaries against Pakistan A in Dubai.
Usman further said that side matches are really helpful for the youngsters to enhance their skills, also it’s a great platform to get noticed by selectors’ through their performance.
The right-handed batsman made his Test debut this year against England in Headingley, where he scored 37 runs.
Pakistan and Australia will play the first Test in Dubai from Sunday while the second Test is in Abu Dhabi from October 16.
