Lahore: Pakistan’s former fast bowling great and coach Waqar Younis has said that strict measures need to taken in order to address the issues related to Pakistan cricket.
The speedster was not satisfied with the steps taken by the PCB and he pointed out that unless his recommendations are implemented thoroughly it is hard to see any change occurring in Pakistan cricket.
“I will have been pleased if progress was made on my recommendations,” Waqar said while talking to a private news channel according to Associated Press of Pakistan.
“There seems to be lot of talk [about changes in the system] but the PCB is yet to announce formation of the cricket committee. The Board has some real work to do in trying to get genuine cricketers into the proposed cricket committee,” said the 87-Test veteran, known for his breathtaking speed and reverse swing.
Waqar Younis is currently in India where he is working as an analyst for a local TV channel and gives out his analysis before and after the IPL matches currently in progress.
