Second ODI: Williamson, Taylor tons take New Zealand to 369/5


NAPIER: Centuries by New Zealand batsmen Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor helped their team score 369/5 in the second one day against Pakistan at McLean Park in Napier on Tuesday, ARY News reports.

The home side won the toss and elected to bat first in the match.

New Zealand managed to put up 369/5 in their allotted 50 overs. Kane Williamson scored 112 runs from 88 balls whereas Ross Taylor remained unbeaten at 102 runs from 70 balls.

Opener Martin Guptill and Captain Brendon McCullum made 76 and 31 runs for their side respectively.

Pakistani bowlers continued their dismal show with the ball as they were hit to all the corners of the grounds.

Left arm pacer Mohammad Irfan took two wickets for his team in his 10 overs while conceding 52 runs whereas Ehsan Adil, Shahid Afridi and Ahmed Shehzad each took one wicket.

Bilawal Bhatti proved to be the most expensive as he conceded 93 runs from his 10 over without taking any wickets.

The green shirts require 370 runs with required run rate of 7.4 per over.
