Najam Sethi declines BoG’s nomination as Chairman PSL Bids Committee


Najam Sethi, Ex-Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has decided not to accept the Board’s nomination of him as Chairman of the Bids Committee for auctioning Pakistan Super League rights.


“I am grateful to the Board of Governors for trust and confidence in me especially since I have personally worked hard to revive the idea and project of PSL, but I do not wish to get involved in financial matters and contracts”, said Sethi.

Najam Sethi, a renowned journalist, is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the PCB and honorary chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board, which functions purely as an advisory and non-decision-making body. He is scheduled to take over an President of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in July 2015, another honorary post.


Najam, who heads PCB’s Executive Committee, has also now been made Chairman Model Constitution Committee for clubs and associations and Media Committee.
