Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman, Najam Sethi has been elected as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief unanimously by the Board of Governors (BoG) on Wednesday.
Sethi was the strongest candidate to hold the post and former chairmen and players also backed him for the chairmanship due to his incredible work to hold PSL and make it a huge success.
It will be Najam Sethi’s third reign as the PCB chairman, formerly, he has headed the cricket board from June 2013 to January 2014 and February 2014 to May 2014. He was removed by the Supreme Court on both occasions.
Najam Sethi has been a member of BoG and also the chairman of Executive Committee since 2014, he was an integral part in supervising board’s day to day affairs.
Shahryar Khan recently completed his three-year tenure and left the post vacant.
