ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi on Monday announced to step down from the nomination of International Cricket Council (ICC) presidency, ARYSports.tv reports.
He made the announcement on social media website Twitter.
Sethi, in his tweet, advised PCB to appoint a former Test cricketer on the ICC vacancy in the true spirit of the game.
I have decided to step aside from ICC Presidency. I request PCB to nominate a great ex Test Cricketer for this position in spirit of game.

A body of PCB headed by Chairman Shahryar Khan had named Sethi for the position, which was also approved byPakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
ICC had also approved Sethi’s nomination for the ceremonial position. He was to take charge this month.
