Naseem Akhtar won the National Junior under-21 Snooker Championship title. The winner of the title will be representing Pakistan in Asian under-21 Snooker Championship and World Snooker Championship.
On the final day of the event held in Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad, organized by Pakistan Billiard and Snooker Association, Naseem Akhtar defeated Multan’s Mohammad Shahbaz for 3-6 frames due to his fabulous game.
Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Relations Riaz Pirzada was the chief guest of the event, he distributed the awards among the winners.
Federal Minister Riaz Pir Zada said we are working day and night for the improvement of sports in our country.
“Federations and other institutions are being taken into confidence, Prime Minister himself is taking steps to improve the sports,” he said.
“Want to increase sports activities as much as possible in our tenure,” he added.
Riaz Pirzada further said that the big players came out of the streets, “Many players have come in the game of Snooker, We are hopeful these players will make the country proud”, he concludes.
