Karachi: Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah was elated after his side St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots won the 2021 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) yesterday, beating St. Lucia Kings by three wickets.
The 18-year-old Naseem was the pick of the bowlers for Patriots, conceding 26 runs and picking two wickets in four overs. Patriots restricted Kings to 159/7 and chased down the target on the last ball courtesy Dominic Drakes 24-ball 48.
Naseem took to Twitter and thanked Patriots’ skipper Dwayne Bravo for showing much-needed support to him. “Your trust and faith had made me more confident in and off the field. I enjoyed every minute of playing with you.”
