Karachi: England’s former cricketer Nasser Hussain highly rated Pakistan’s Saeed Anwar. He said that former opening batsman was classy when it comes to classy batting style.
“The left-hander was treat to watch when he used to play at off stump. He was one of the top class batsmen of the cricket world,” Hussain said while speaking media via teleconference.
It must be noted here that Anwar was one of Pakistan’s stylish opener. His 194 runs inning against India is still fresh in the minds of cricket fans.
He had represented Pakistan in 55 Tests and 247 ODIs from 1990 to 2003. With the help of 20 centuries, Anwar had scored 8824 at an average of 39.21 in ODIs. In Tests, he had 4052 runs at an average of 45.52.
