National, international cricketers pay tribute to MisYou

Pakistan’s legendary duo of Misbah Ul Haq and Younis Khan graced international cricket for one last time as the Men in Green created history by winning a Test series in the Caribbean after an absolute thriller.

As Pakistan won the game, Pakistani players carried Misbah and Younis on their shoulders as the veteran batting pair wore Pakistan flag.

It was an emotional scene for Pakistani fans as well as for national and international players, so the Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages.

Pakistan’s world cup winning captain, Imran Khan congratulated Pakistan team for creating history and then he lauded the experienced duo for retiring with dignity.

Waqar Younis wished luck to MisYou and said that they have made Pakistan proud.

Saeed Ajmal, who has played cricket with Misbah Ul Haq almost throughout his life, said that Misbah and Younis have inspired the whole nation.

Pakistan Women’s ODI captain, Sana Mir also joined her counterparts in giving tribute to the legends.

Pakistan Women’s T20 skipper, Bismah Maroof will miss the retiring pair.

It was not only local players that were inspired by them, international cricketers also threw in their message for MisYou.

Islamabad United head coach Dean Jones suggested PCB to organize testimonial matches for them.

Sri Lankan batting legend, Mahela Jayawerdene praised Misbah and Younis for their glorious career and wished them luck for the future.

West Indian former pacer Ian Bishop also joined in.

Tom Moody sees them as great ambassadors of the game.

Misbah Ul Haq and Younis Khan retired as the most successful Test skipper of Pakistan and the highest Test run-scorer for the country respectively.

Cricket will surely miss the class, honesty and humbleness of Misbah Ul Haq and Younis Khan.
