The members of the Pakistan Cricket Team members are excited to play at the historic National Stadium, Karachi against Sri Lanka in the second Test of the two-match series.
In a video released by Pakistan Cricket Board on their official Twitter account, six members of the team expressed their feelings and moments on playing in Karachi.
Skipper Azhar Ali has termed National Stadium as one of the best grounds for the Pakistan team and said.
“Karachi has been one of the best ground for Pakistan cricket and going there to play Test cricket is a big moment for us,” Azhar Ali said.
Opener Shaan Masood recalled the matches which he witness in his childhood.
“Big matches are being played which I have watched in my growing days, I have a few memorable times at the National Stadium. One is Pakistan vs South Africa back in 1996 World Cup in which Aamir Sohail scored a ton and the second one is Pakistan against India that went down the wire till the last over,” Shaan said.
Senior batsman Asad Shafiq remembered the moments he had in National Stadium.
” I was there in 2006 where Mohammad Asif destroyed the Indian batting order and took the price wicket of great Sachin Tendulkar and after that my throat got upset because of shouting so much,”

Fawad Alam appreciated the arrival of Test cricket in Karachi and termed it as the best for the people of Karachi.
” Very exciting news for the people of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan as Test cricket comes back home. Pindi crowd was fantastic, hoping to see the same energy in Karachi.”
Karachi Kings wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan feels Karachi is now a part of his heart and playing here is just like playing in his own city.
“I am the part of Kings’ family for the last three years and playing here feels like playing in my own city,” Wicket-keeper batsman added.
Number one T20 batsman Babar Azam is very eager to play in Karachi, the effort would be to give his 100 percent and hoping that the bowlers will perform better and will try to win the Test match.
The rain-affected first Test match between the two cricketing giants ended on a draw in Rawalpindi and now as both the teams have arrived in Karachi, the fans are thrilled to witness the historic match after a decade.
