Wishes pour in as Pakistan win Test series at home


Pakistan cricket team players have congratulated the National team for successfully winning the Test match and series against Sri Lanka in Karachi, National Stadium.

Cricketers shared their emotions on a social media site Twitter and praised the team’s series win after 13 years.

Former captain Shoaib Malik on a home Test win wrote that it is a very great feeling and day for Pakistan, super proud of all the boys.


Senior pace bowler Wahab Riaz congratulated the team on the historic win.


T20 star and left-arm pace bowler Sohail Tanvir wrote that it was a great performance after getting out so cheaply in the first innings.

Former captain Mohammad Hafeez wrote that it is just a beginning on winning matches in Pakistan. He thanked the Sri Lankan cricket board to send their team to play in Pakistan.

All-rounder Aamir Yamin and Mohammad Nawaz also wrote wishes for Pakistan on a historic Test win.


It must be noted that Pakistan won the second Test by 264 runs against Sri Lanka. In the second innings, four batsmen, opener Abid Ali and Shan Masood, captain Azhar Ali and number 9 ICC ranked Test batsman Babr Azam scored centuries.

Young pace bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah took five-wicket haul in first and second innings respectively.
