Pakistan’s National T20 Cup is set to clash with BPL and Global T20 league this year, which means the participation of Pakistani players is in doubt in abroad T20 leagues.
Last month, PCB revoked the NOCs of Pakistan’s 13 players who were participating in CPL and English domestic circuit because of National T20 Cup, which was scheduled to begin from 25 August.
Later on, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi announced the postponement of National T20 Cup to November, saying the recalled players had to undergo fitness test after which they can re-join their respective leagues.
Pakistan’s National T20 Cup is now Scheduled to begin from November 4-19, these dates will be clashing with both T20 leagues BPL and Global T20 league, while BPL starting from November 2 and its final will be played on December 10 and Global T20 league will start from November 3 to December 16.
At least seven Pakistani players were expected to take part in the Global T20, with Wahab Riaz, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Nawaz, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Anwar Ali and Imad Wasim signed by various franchises. While the player list for the BPL is not yet out, Junaid Khan and Shahid Afridi had confirmed that they would take part in Bangladesh’s premier T20 competition.
