Nauman Ali bagged nine wickets haul to help Northern beat Sindh by 145 in the seventh round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy at National Stadium Karachi.
The left-arm spinner took four for 51 in the second inning to restrict Sindh to 199-10 while chasing 345.
For Sindh, tail-ender Sohail Khan showed some fight by scoring 54 runs off 60 balls but couldn’t get enough of for his team. Khurram Manzoor scored 35 runs.
Earlier, Northern resumed day 4 at 173-2 with Zeeshan Malik (96*) and Shoaib Ahmed (23*). The visitors were having a lead of 82 runs.
Zeeshan couldn’t score runs on day 4 and fell to Mir Hamza earlier for 96. Shoaib made 29 runs while Faizan Riaz scored 41 runs.
Mir Hamza bagged two wickets for Sindh.
On the other hand, matches between Baluchistan and Central Punjab, Southern Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa got drawn.
