New Zealand batsman Leo Carter has made his name into the record books by hitting six sixes in an over. Carter who is representing Canterbury Kings helped his side to win the match against Northern Districts in a Super Smash T20 competition.
The 25-year-old in the 16th over of the second innings smashed left-arm spinner Anton Devcich to all parts of the ground. The left-hander 70-run innings from 29 balls helped his side to chase the total of 220.

The kiwi batsman is the first one to do so for his country and seventh overall in the game of cricket. He was also surprised by his achievement and said that short boundaries helped him to achieve this feat.
“I just stepped across and swung as hard as I could but I am not sure how many got off the middle off the bat. Due to short boundaries, it helped me and I am thankful for that,” Carter said.
