Nida Dar and Bismah Maroof scored 53 runs each to help Pakistan women beat South Africa women by seven wickets in the first T20I of five matches series at Pretoria on Wednesday.
Experienced spinner Sana Mir shined with the bowl as she took three wickets conceding 14 runs as Pakistan bundled South Africa for 119.
While batting first, the home side were off to a poor start with losing five wickets for just 49 runs. Right-handed batswoman Chloe-Lesleigh Tryon later played a fighting knock of 43 runs which includes three boundaries and six.
Shabnim Ismail made 20 runs to take South Africa over the 100-run mark.
Apart from Sana, Nida Dar bagged two wickets while Nashra Sandhu and Aliya Riaz bagged a wicket each.
In reply, Pakistan lost their opening pair earlier but Bismah and Nida put 89 runs together for the third wicket to hand a convincing to their team.
Both the batswomen were on charge as Bismah struck four boundaries while Nida smashed seven boundaries and two sixes.
Marizanne Kapp, Masabata Klaas, and Tumi Sekhukhune bagged a wicket each for South Africa.
