Karachi: Karachi Kings’ hard-hitting opener Sharjeel Khan believes that after performing in a platform like Pakistan Super League (PSL), no doubt left regarding the player’s ability.
The 31-year-old Sharjeel registered his second PSL hundred yesterday against his former team Islamabad United. He smashed 59-ball 105 which included nine fours and eight sixes.
“This [domestic] season has been very good for me as I am playing for last five months but performing in PSL doubles your confidence because according to me, no doubt is left after performing in platform like PSL,” he said in a post-match interview.
The left-hander has vowed to continue his form in upcoming matches of PSL 6. “I was waiting for such innings and it has helped me regain my confidence. I will try to continue with this momentum, it always feels good to be scoring centuries for your team,” he added.
Sharjeel and his opening partner Babar Azam yesterday registered a new record of a highest partnership (176) in PSL’s history. Sharjeel revealed that both of us enjoy batting together.
“We have played for a longer time in domestic cricket for ZTBL and we know each other well. We enjoy batting with each other,” he added.
