The Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan has categorically stated that no final decision has been made regarding the post of head coach for the Pakistan cricket team.

In an informal chat with media in Lahore, during PCB’s Annual General Meeting, the chairman reiterated the fact that the decision to appoint a local or foreign coach is yet to be made and the rumors regrading the names of potential coach of Pakistan cricket is baseless. He added that the board is currently looking for a temporary coach of Pakistan team to fill the gap for the next couple of months and for that the names of various former cricketers are under consideration and the final call for the post of chief selector and head coach will be made in the next 2-3 days.

Although earlier it was reported that the PCB has finalized the name of Dean Jones for the post of head coach but it seems as if nothing is finalized yet.

The chairman also said that the bio mechanic lab will be operational in the next couple of days and off spinners Mohammad Hafeez, who is currently banned from bowling by ICC, can go through a test there before going to an ICC accredited laboratory for the official testing of his action.
