No Hurry to return to International Cricket: Mohammad Amir


Fast bowler Muhammad Amir said “It is too early to think about International cricket, playing at the top level is no joke, I want to focus on my domestic form and want to go through all the pressures before I am recalled for International cricket.”

Fast bowler Amir along with Asif and Salman Butt was accused for spot fixing at Lords test. He not only faced imprisonment but was banned for 5 years by ICC, which has officially ended. Amir was given special consideration early this year and he has already started playing domestic cricket.

He said, “My full focus is on domestic cricket and to think about playing for Pakistan at this moment is too early. I am not worried about my return to the National Team rather I am completely concentrating on domestic form and leaving the rest to the selectors.”

“I am taking things step by step. I am not in a hurry to jump forward. International cricket is not a joke, its quite tough and exerts tremendous pressure on you.” said Amir

Recently M.Amir played 5 matches for Rawalpindi region in T20. In a recent Quaid-e-Azam qualifying match, where he represented Sui Southern Gas against ADBP, took 7 wickets.
