Although the new English Premier League champs Leicester City have a lot of reasons to celebrate but their manager Claudio Ranieri said that there won’t be any pizza for the champs once again after the side drew to defending Champions Chelsea on the last match day of this year’s EPL.
Speaking to Sky Sports Ranieri, who received a guard of honour from his former club before kick off, said: “The emotion is fantastic. It was a good atmosphere and I want to say thank you to our fans and the Chelsea fans. It was amazing.”
“It was important to finish well and it was a good match,” he said.
“Both teams had great chances and well done to the players. They made a lot of sacrifices in the hot weather to keep pressing.”
On the secret of his team’s success Ranieri said: “Our strength is to be a unit and fight for each other.
“We have to realise what has happened and then look back on our season.
On his planned celebrations, the Italian — famed for his love of pizza — said: “No pizza tonight — our chairman has invited us for dinner.”
Leicester City were crowned EPL champions last week after Tottenham drew against Chelsea which consequently meant that Leicester bagged the elusive EPL title.
