Order of drafting process finalized


The order in which the drafting process of the Pakistan Super League will progress was formulated through a ballot in Lahore today.

According to details the Islamabad side was able to get the first pick followed by the Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Lahore. During the drafting pick order process the CEO of ARY group and owner of team Karachi was also present as he personally monitored the procedure. With him the head of operations and COO North America Tariq Wasi was also present as he is the one looking after the management of ARY Karachi team and not to forget assistant coach Mushtaq Ahmed.


The main part of this drafting process is the selection of players as this will be now be the focal point of attention of the team owners. Players like Shahid Afridi, Kevin Pietersen, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Lasith Malinga,Misbah-ul-Haq, Wahab Riaz, Sangakkkara, Mahela Jayawardene etc will be picked up in the opening rounds in accordance with an analytical point of view.

The 21st and 22nd December is the date for the drafting process which will give out a clear picture of the actual lineups and combination of teams.


The schedule of the first edition was also announced on the same day with Quetta and Islamabad clashing in the first match at Dubai.
