HARARE: Mohammad Rizwan said the team’s batters learnt a lot from their mistakes in the first match and will try to make comeback in the next contest.
Speaking after the match-winning performance against Zimbabwe in the first T20I, Rizwan said they lost early wickets which made the chase tougher. “We lost quick wickets which caused problems for us to chase the target,” he said.
“My plan was simple, stay till the end and keep the scoreboard ticking as 150 was a chaseable score at this pitch. I hope our batters have learned from today’s contest and make a comeback in the upcoming match,” he added.

Rizwan praised bowlers for restricting the home side to 149. “Our bowlers contained their line and length and bowled really well in death overs,” he highlighted.
“Overall, our performance was good. We didn’t finish it convincingly but in the start has given us a lot of confidence,” he concluded.
