Ozil 'honoured and privileged' as he receives Kiswah

Germany’s football star, Mesut Ozil is feeling honoured and privileged as he receives a piece of Kiswah, the cloth that covers Kaaba in Makkah, which is holy for Muslims.

Arsenal’s attacking midfielder, who is a Muslim by religion, received this precious gift and is hanging it in his home in London.

“Honoured and privileged to have this special piece of the Kiswah that covers the Kaaba in Mecca at my home in London,” he wrote in a tweet. “Incredibly blessed to have received this priceless gift,” he added.

Ozil has played 92 games for his national side, where he has scored 23 goals. He is considered to be one of the best footballers of his era.
