PAFIAN Girls Netball Cup kicks off in Karachi

Karachi Grammar School, Habib Girls School, City School PAF and City School Gulshan have qualified for the semi-finals of the PAFAIN Netball Cup on Wednesday.

In back-to-back matches, the four-quarter-finalists shined in the U15 category of the event. City School PAF defeated Trinity Girls School by 12-1 to win their match in the opening round.

Habib Girls School outclassed City School North Nazimabad by 7-1, City School Gulshan beat Mohammadi Girls School by 14-1 and Karachi Grammar School Saddar defeated City School Durakhshan by 11-1.

The winning teams proceeded to Quarter-finals. In the knock-out stage, City School Gulshan got rid of City School Nazimabad by defeating them by 14-4. City School PAF booked their place in the semi-finals after winning against City School by 10-1.

Karachi Grammar School beat Trinity Girls School by 12-1 to reach the final-four stage while Habib Girls drove over Muhammad Girls by the score of 8-4 to mark their name in semi-finals.

The first semi-final in the U15 category will be played between Karachi Grammar School and City School PAF on Friday followed by the second semi-final between Habib Girls School and City School Gulshan.

On the other hand, in the U17 category, City School PAF will meet Habib Girls School tomorrow. City School PAF beat Trinity Girls by 11-1 in the semi-final today while Habib Girls got a walkover against Convent Jesus and Mary.

It must be noted here that the event is scheduled in collaboration with the Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF).
