The Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) is all set to stage Pak-Asia Softball Coaching Clinic in Karachi from August 22.
SFP has collaborated with World Baseball, Softball Confederation (WBSC) to organize a fruitful event for the local softball coaches of Pakistan.
According to the secretary-general of SFP, Asif Azeem, the caoches from China and Malaysia will come to Pakistan to participate in the event which will give exposure to the local coaches and officials.
“This event is going to take place in Pakistan for the first and we are hopeful that this event will be a golden opportunity for our local coaches to learn techniques,” he said.
Azeem highlighted that the contribution of WBSC is keen for them and thanked the world’s softball, baseball governing body for giving them the hosting rights. “It is an honor for us to host this coaching platform. It will make our relations with WBSC more stronger,” Azeem added.
The secretary further revealed that the local coaches will be sent on foreign tours following their performance in the coaching camp. “We have also planned to send our coaches to different countries to make them expert of the game,” said Azeem while adding that baseball is one of the growing sports in the country.
