England women cricket team have claimed another win against Pakistan women cricket team in the first T20 of the three-match T20 series at Kinrara Academy Oval at Kuala Lumpur as hosts were 29 runs short while chasing a target of 155.
Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof was the lone warrior in the run chase and scored 58-ball 60 with the help of five fours. But England bowlers repeating their strength bowled Pakistan out on a score of 129 courtesy Sophie Ecclestone 3-21. Freya Davis and Natalie Sciver also claimed 2 wickets each.
Wicket-keeper Sidra Nawaz and Umaima Sohail were the other two notable scorers for the national side scoring 22 and 21 respectively.
Earlier, the visiting side was put in to bat by the national side and they took complete advantage of a fresh pitch. Amy Jones, the wicket-keeper batsman with the help of ten mesmerizing boundaries scored 39 balls 53. She later received player of the match. Tasmin Beaumont (30) and Natalie (34*) supported Amy, adding valuable runs to the total. For Pakistan, All-rounder Nida Dar picked up two wickets.
It must be noted that both the teams will take each other in 2nd T20 on December 19.
