KARACHI: Pakistan triumphed China by 4-0 in a contest of Asian Men’s Champions Trophy that took Pakistan into the semi-final of the tournament in Kuntan, Malaysia on Thursday.
It was a must-win game for Pakistan to advance in the tournament, previously, they had won two games as well as lost two.
In the all important contest, Pakistan and China were goalless in the first quarter of the match. However, Abdul Haseem Khan scored a goal in the 21st minute of the game and netted the ball once again at the start of third quarter that put the Men in Green in control.
Despite of ruling the turf against China, Pakistan did not hold back and kept attacking China’s goal.
Pakistan’s Ali Khan and Muhammad Irfan Jr scored a goal each in the 48th and 49th minute respectively that made Pakistan’s lead huge to 4-0.
Pakistan will take on Malaysia in the semi-final.
