Pakistan Army catches the limelight throughout as they won 33rd National Games with a tally of 380 medals in Peshawar on Saturday.
With 150 Gold, 134 Silver and 96 Bronze, Army ruled the medal table and won their 24th title. WAPDA bagged the second position with 320 medals including 148 Gold, 99 Silver, 73 Bronze.
Pakistan Railway pursed 104 medals to win the third position in the event. Their medal tally includes 12 Gold, 20 Silver and 73 Bronze.
Pakistan Navy (67) and Pakistan Airforce (58) settled on the fourth and fifth positions respectively. Punjab, with 49 medals, bagged sixth while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa managed the seventh spot with 41 medals.
HEC (42), Sindh (45) and Baluchistan (28) won eighth, ninth and tenth positions respectively.
Governor of KP, Shah Farman, was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed medals among the athletes. On the occasion, he congratulated the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) for successfully delivering the event.
“I would like to congratulate medal winners and also organizing committee which organized such an amazing extravaganza,” he said.
