Pakistan lost to India by 3-1 in the semi-final of 3rd Asian Men’s U23 Volleyball Championship at the Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
The men in green started the game on a high note as they won the first set by the scores of 25-21. But then the Indian team didn’t give them a chance to dominate.
Indian won three straight sets by the scores of 25-16, 25-22 and 25-18 respectively to set the final clash with Chinese Taipei on Tuesday.
Pakistan will now take on Japan in the third-place match on Tuesday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the green shirts advanced in the semis after defeating Kazakhstan by 3-1.
The chairman of Pakistan Volleyball Association, Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob had announced the cash award of Rs 100,000/- for the team who has performed strongly in the mega event.
