Pakistan beat Afghanistan in One-Day Disabled Cricket Series


KARACHI: Pakistan Disabled Cricket Team defeated touring Afghanistan easily by 109 runs in the first match of the two-match ODI International Disability Cricket Series here at National Stadium Karachi.

Arif Richard (70) and Matloob Qureshi (58) batted impressively to help their side post 276 in stipulated 40 overs. Skipper Hasnain Alam also batted well and scored 32. Nabiullah Nabi took two wickets.

In their turn, Afghanistan cricket team scored a paltry total of 167 runs in 32.2 overs. Captain Muhammad Ashraf scored 52 runs. Abdullah Ejaz and Fayyaz Ahmed bowled well for the winning team and captured three wickets each.

Pakistan has already whitewashed Afghanistan 3-0 in three-match T20 series.
