Pakistan beat Azerbaijan to reach Kabaddi World Cup semi-final


Gujrat: Pakistan beat Azerbaijan easily to win their third and last group B match in Kabaddi World Cup at the Zahoor Elahi Stadium on Friday.

The home side was aggressive and dominated over the opponents completely in the majority of the time. They down them with a lead of 40-30.

After the opening periods, the men in green let their opponents get some points on the board but they couldn’t manage to get hold of the things.

With this win, Pakistan has qualified for the semi-final and will meet Iran in the semi-final on February 15 in Lahore. On the other hand, India will lock horns with Australia in the second semi-final of the event at the same venue tomorrow. The tournaments final is scheduled for February 26.
