Badar Munir played a sensible knock of 64 runs to help Pakistan blind cricket team beat Sri Lanka blind cricket team by eight wickets in the first match of three matches ODI series in Colombo on Thursday.

Another successor for the green shirts was Ayub Khan who went on to score a responsible knock of 54 runs which helped his team chase down the total with ease.

Sri Lanka while batting first posted 216 runs in 31.5 overs with Saman Kumara scoring unbeaten 42 runs. Silva contributed 26 runs to the total of hosts.

In reply, Pakistan chased the target within 20 overs with Badar Munir showing his class. Munir and Khan took the men in green over the victory line.

The captain of Pakistan team Nisar Ahmed was happy to see his boys outclassing Sri Lanka on their home ground. “Such a good start was needed for the series. The things turned right for us as all the boys put efforts,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the second ODI of the series will be played in Colombo on Friday (February 22).
