KARNATAKA: Pakistan knocked down another opponent in Blind World T20 as they defeated Bangladesh by a huge margin of 151 runs on Tuesday.
Pakistan set up a mammoth total of 295/2 for Bangladesh after batting first. Opener Riasat Khan struck a massive ton, on the other hand Badar Munir and Mohammad Jamil scored half-centuries apiece.
Riasat Khan made 104 runs off 52 balls with six boundaries to his name while Badar Munir made 93 runs from 32 balls after hitting 18 boundaries and two sixes. Jamil put 72 runs on the board on just 30 balls with the help of ten 4’s and two 6’s.
Bangladeshi bowlers Abdullah Zobir and Mohammad Faisal took one wicket each for the team.
Pakistan restricted Bangladesh to just 144/7 in their quota of 20 overs. Mohammad Abdul Malek remained the highest scorer for his team with 61 runs off 52 balls, his inning comprised of five 4’s.
Nazrul Islam was the second highest scorer for Bangladesh with 18 runs from 32 balls with the help of two boundaries.
Pakistani bowlers Israr Hassan, Badar Munir, Muhammad Idrees Saleem and Riasat Khan grabbed one wicket each in the match.
It was Pakistan’s seventh straight win in the tournament.
