The Men in Green could only net the ball for once in the game courtesy of Abu Mahmood in the 32nd minute on a penalty corner, while Australians kept on scoring goals throughout the contest.
Blake Govers struck thrice in the game, whereas, Aaron Kleinschmidt scored two goals in the one-sided contest between the two sides.
Jake Whetton, Arunasalam and Tom Wickham also scored goals for the Kangaroos.
Pakistan missed out on various opportunities to score goals that resulted in an embarrassing defeat at the end.
Pakistan will now face Japan on Thursday before facing another fierce competitor New Zealand on Friday.
