Pakistan’s highest run scorer in women’s T20Is, Bismah Maroof celebrated her 28th birthday on Thursday on July 18th.
Bismah Maroof has been an integral part of Pakistan’s women’s team in both the ODIs and T20Is since making her international debut in 2006 against India in Jaipur in an ODI.
She has represented Pakistan in 103 ODIs and has scored 2,389 runs at an average of 27.14 with a highest score of 99 runs. She is currently the second highest scorer for Pakistan in the ODIs, just behind Javeria Khan, who has scored 2,585 runs.
On the other hand, the prolific left-handed batter has scored 1,989 runs in 100 T20Is at an average of 27.14, being the highest scorer in the format for Girls in Green.
Bismah has been named as Sana Mir’s successor as the captain in both the fifty-over format as well as twenty-over format .
