Pakistan cricketers unhappy with PCB chairman’s ‘education’ statement


PCB’s Chairman Shahryar Khan’s statement of ’lack of educated players’ in the team hits foreign media headlines leaving most of the Pakistani players unhappy.

While addressing the media in Quetta he once again stressed that “there are no graduate players in the team right now apart from Misbahul Haq.”

“The absence of educated players in the team is a basic reason for Pakistan team’s recent downfall.” Shahryar Khan’s statement became a source of attraction for the social as well as foreign media and particularly hit Indian headlines.
One of the cricketer’s asked a question “In the past when Pakistan won the World cup and WT20 and the series and kept creating history, were all the team members graduates??”

“It is essential to be educated but it doesn’t mean that those who are uneducated are responsible for cricket’s down fall.”

Most of the cricketers were of the view that Shahryar Khan should not have spoken on players education in public.
