Pakistan crush South Africa for their sixth straight win

KARNATAKA: Pakistan Blind Cricket Team registered their sixth consecutive win in Blind World T20 as they dismantled South Africa in the game played on Monday at Karnataka.

Pakistan chased down the target of 101 runs in merely 5.1 overs at the cost of just one wicket. Badar Munir went all guns blazing and made 60 runs off only 20 deliveries with the help of ten 4’s and two 6’s.

On the other hand, Mohammad Jamil contributed 29 runs off 11 balls that got Pakistan home in no time.

Asher Jonathan Hattingh was the only wicket-taker for South Africa.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. They could only manage 100/9 in their quota of 20 overs. Tefo Lesley Classen remained the top scorer for the team with 19 runs from 20 balls with a boundary in his inning.

Whereas, Buhle Bhidla made 10 runs from 17 balls after hitting a four and Doctor Wiilliam Malinga, Ephraim Mathabo and Sonwabile Bidla scored eight runs each for the team.

Pakistan’s Anees Javed was the pick of the bowler with two wickets to his name. Whereas, Badar Munir and Riasat Khan took one wicket apiece.

Pakistan have earlier beaten, New Zealand, England, India , Sri Lanka and Nepal in the campaign.
