Pakistan dominates Canada in the opening game of the Azlan Shah tournament

Pakistan has started off their campaign of Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey tournament on a winning note by defeating Canada with a score of 3-1 in Ipoh, Malaysia.

Mohammad Qadir played an instrumental role in getting Pakistan an important win, he scored two goals in the third quarter for the Men in Green.

Pakistan had a 2-0 lead till 48th minute before Richard Holdreth from Canada scored a goal to reduce the lead of Pakistan.

Mohammad Tousiq stepped in for Pakistan and scored a goal for his country on a penalty corner that sealed the victory for Pakistan.

Apart from Pakistan, there are Australia, Japan, India, New Zealand, Canada and the host Malaysia, who will compete in the hockey tournament to lift the prestigious title.
